Lead Automation Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Automation Architect to design and deliver enterprise‑scale Business Process Automation solutions while integrating Generative and Agentic AI across digital transformation initiatives. The role will be based in Sri Lanka and will guide technical teams through complex projects for banking and financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, secure, enterprise‑grade BPA solutions using platforms such as IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Pega, Appian or Camunda.
• Lead automation engineers through end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring quality, performance and timely execution.
• Drive workflow automation, content management, intelligent document processing, RPA and decision automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Pre‑Sales consultants and customers to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
• Integrate Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities into automation platforms and business workflows.
• Support solution scoping, effort estimation, technical validation and respond to RFPs.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of IT experience with a strong software engineering background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering digital transformation solutions for banking, financial services or large enterprises.

Required skills

• Java.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• APIs, enterprise integrations, database design.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Pega, Appian, Camunda.
• RPA platforms such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath or IBM RPA.
• Front‑end frameworks React.js or Angular.js.
• Generative AI and Agentic AI platforms (IBM watsonx Orchestrate, Microsoft Copilot Studio, LangGraph, CrewAI).
