Credentialing & Contracting Manager

About the role

Own the process that gets providers ready to care for patients. You will manage the full provider lifecycle—from accepted offer through credentialing, contracting, payer enrollment, ongoing maintenance, and eventual separation—ensuring providers can start seeing patients quickly and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end provider credentialing, contracting, payer enrollment and lifecycle processes.
• Manage third‑party credentialing vendor, ensuring timelines, quality and service levels.
• Lead regular status reviews, identify barriers, and escalate risks that could delay provider start dates.
• Oversee provider contracts, renewals and ensure execution before patient care begins.
• Maintain audit‑ready provider files and develop KPIs, dashboards and SOPs for leadership visibility.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in provider credentialing, payer enrollment or healthcare operations.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer enrollment requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple onboarding projects and hold vendors accountable.
• Excellent organizational, project‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with provider databases and credentialing software.
