Commercial Business Analyst

About the role

Rockland Distilleries is seeking a Commercial Business Analyst to combine operational oversight with strategic business analysis. This full‑time, on‑site position in Colombo will drive data‑driven decision‑making, improve workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance data and develop insights to support strategic decisions.
• Improve and oversee operational workflows across teams.
• Coordinate with government agencies such as Customs and the Excise Department for compliance and documentation.
• Work with logistics and supply‑chain teams on inventory planning, import/export operations, and timely deliveries.
• Manage reporting dashboards and data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal sales and commercial teams to streamline operational support.
• Lead or support cross‑functional process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Logistics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, operations or supply‑chain roles.
• Experience working with government regulatory bodies (Customs, Excise, etc.).
• Previous exposure to multinational organisations is highly valued.
