Assurance Staff (GDS) - Colombo

About the role

EY is hiring a staff member for its Assurance team in Colombo, working within the Global Delivery Services (GDS) framework. The role involves developing relationships with global EY teams serving these engagements and supervising the delivery of GDS engagement management support activities.

Key responsibilities

• Project manage global assurance engagements through multi-location coordination, engagement economics, confirmations and database management.
• Manage projects and assurance initiatives for EY's largest clients with the GDS Assurance teams globally.
• Identify risk areas through regular interaction with Global teams and keep stakeholders informed of problems and exceptions.
• Prepare and present engagement results, analysis, project status, risks and findings, including post-review analysis with trends, KPIs and benchmarking.
• Manage transition milestones for first-year assurance engagements and budgets versus actuals.
• Maintain global engagement databases and contact lists, prepare meeting notes and talk tracks, and take responsibility for work before submitting it to seniors.

Required profile

• B.Com or BBA graduates with 0-1 years of operations and general business experience.
• Experience in general management and ability to work within the GDS framework.
• Interest in business and commerciality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Communication, presentation and facilitation skills; analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
