Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily operations of the Housekeeping department at a luxury resort, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in planning, organizing, and supervising daily Housekeeping operations.
• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house areas meet hotel standards.
• Supervise and coordinate Housekeeping team members, including room attendants and public area attendants.
• Monitor room status and work closely with Front Office to guarantee timely room readiness.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas and take corrective action when needed.
• Support manpower planning, duty allocation, scheduling, and daily briefings.
• Assist in training, coaching, and developing team members to maintain consistent service standards.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, and control of linen, supplies, amenities, cleaning materials, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury or upscale hotel.
• Previous experience working with LQA standards is an advantage.
• Prior supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred.
