Lead Java Developer – Securities Risk IT

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our Securities Risk IT team. You will drive the design and implementation of market data and risk‑related solutions, ensuring high‑quality, reliable software that supports our trading and clearing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement market data and risk projects across the backend and frontend.
• Design and develop the core engine for Risk IT and clearing.
• Write clean, efficient Java code and integrate multiple technologies when needed.
• Create and maintain automated test frameworks, test scenarios, and acceptance tests.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and provide timely status updates.
• Collaborate with team members, support the wider platform, and join the on‑call rota as required.

Required profile

• Experienced software engineer with strong Java and JVM knowledge.
• Proficient in databases, SQL, Git, and CI tools.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and security implications.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver production‑ready solutions from design to deployment.
• Effective problem‑solving and autonomous work style.
