EnvOps Engineer

About the role

The EnvOps Engineer will join the Finance Technology Development Services team, supporting key finance business areas. The role focuses on operational activities such as vulnerability and certificate management, third‑party system support, build requests, and incident handling through ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities

• Perform database refreshes, manage SQL permissions, modify jobs, audit SQL, and resolve backup failures.
• Maintain server health, performance, memory allocation, set up monitoring, handle server decommissions, support migrations, and resolve access issues.
• Proactively manage vulnerability scores using tools like Kenna or Qualys, ensure PCI compliance, address audit findings, and coordinate patching.
• Handle ad‑hoc job errors and collaborate with TSAs on COA/CVR rules.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests in ServiceNow, prioritising tickets and delivering resolutions.
• Use alerting tools (SCOM, Dynatrace) to monitor infrastructure health, backup status, disk space, and certificate renewals.
• Support development, QA, and support teams with Azure DevOps/Git, SQL Server Management Studio, and Dynatrace.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, infrastructure and networking.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile principles.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms following ITIL.
• Vulnerability management experience using Kenna or Qualys.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SCOM or Dynatrace.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven stakeholder management and self‑motivation to develop new skills.
