Associate Architect

About the role

The Associate Architect will own one or more client projects or a large technical area, ensuring that all solution extensions follow the organization’s architectural guidelines. This role combines technical leadership with people‑management responsibilities, supporting project managers and senior business partners to deliver high‑quality software on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Implement technical changes and improvements that enhance client and business outcomes.
• Validate that all extensions to client solutions or large technical domains align with architectural principles and raise significant deviations to senior architects or the Architecture Review Board.
• Maintain technical ownership of a client solution, sub‑product, or sophisticated technical area and represent it in internal and external forums.
• Oversee successful delivery and implementation of customer projects, including internal product integrations.
• Provide technical leadership to teams, identify and communicate risks, and collaborate with quality assurance and delivery management throughout the software lifecycle.
• Train, mentor, and line‑manage engineers and tech leads, ensuring adherence to SDLC guidelines and green engineering metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven software engineering and architectural experience with C++ and a track record of designing and delivering large C++ systems.
• At least 8 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a senior technical or architectural role.
