About the role
The Sous Chef will support the overall kitchen operations at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, focusing on authentic Italian cuisine. This role involves menu development, team leadership, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and developing authentic Italian cuisine menus and recipes, ensuring quality, consistency and presentation.
- Direct and coordinate daily operations of the Italian kitchen, guaranteeing smooth service.
- Control food and labour costs, manage purchasing, portion control and inventory while minimizing waste.
- Ensure all food products meet the hotel’s quality, presentation and F&B standards.
- Lead, coach and train kitchen team members to uphold high culinary standards and teamwork.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, cleanliness and health & safety compliance.
- Continuously review operations and recommend improvements to enhance the Italian culinary product and guest experience.
