Performance Test Engineer (Tier 3)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Performance Test Engineer (Tier 3) to join our Digital Assurance practice in Colombo. The role focuses on creating high‑quality performance scripts, executing tests, and supporting test data management for complex, data‑driven scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using HP VuGen across multiple protocols.
• Execute performance tests via HP Performance Center and monitor system health with tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics or Introscope.
• Support the Test Data Management lifecycle, including data masking and synthetic data generation.
• Analyze test results and performance logs to pinpoint latency spikes and server‑side bottlenecks.
• Run SQL queries for backend validation and ensure data integrity during performance runs.
• Collaborate within Agile squads to embed performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, promoting “performance as code”.

Required profile

• 3 to 6 years of hands‑on experience in performance testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC in Agile environments.
• Interest in advancing cloud performance testing and automated performance engineering.

Required skills

• JMeter, HP LoadRunner, HP Performance Center and VuGen.
• Test Data Management concepts, data masking and synthetic data creation.
• Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics or Introscope.
• SQL for performance‑related data verification.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
