Finance Executive – Financial Controllership (Sri Lanka)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Finance Executive to support the Financial Controllership function for our Sri Lankan operations. The role involves statutory compliance, tax activities, financial reconciliations, audit coordination and regulatory reporting while collaborating closely with the Group Controllership team in India.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate VAT return filings, VAT refund claims, Income Tax Return submissions and Social Security Contribution Levy filings.
• Prepare and submit Stamp Duty Returns and support withholding tax clearance with the Inland Revenue Department.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and assist month‑end / year‑end closing.
• Maintain internal controls, finance policies and accurate supporting schedules.
• Liaise with the Board of Investment, Inland Revenue Department and other regulatory authorities on compliance matters.
• Support external audit activities, coordinate audit requests and prepare required documentation.
• Work closely with Payroll, HR and Administration teams to ensure payroll‑related statutory compliance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to meet finance, regulatory and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA) preferred.
• 2‑3 years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, audit or compliance functions.
• Working knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations (VAT, Income Tax, SSCL, withholding tax).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and excellent organizational skills.
