Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting

About the role

Infomate, a member of the John Keells Group, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support its finance function. The role operates on an Australian shift (06:30 AM – 03:00 PM) and contributes to month‑end, reporting and audit activities for a global operation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly accruals, pre‑payments and related journal entries.
• Perform weekly sales reconciliations between accounting and front‑end systems.
• Conduct stock reconciliations and post adjustment journals as needed.
• Maintain fixed‑asset schedules, depreciation, disposals and capitalisation.
• Administer lease contracts under IFRS 16, creating and updating lease records.
• Handle Oracle ERP reporting, download monthly reports and liaise with external vendors to resolve system issues.
• Prepare audit schedules, support auditors and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Provide accounting support to the on‑shore team and manage ad‑hoc requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of finance and accounting experience, including a prior accountant role.
• Hands‑on experience in calculating and managing accruals and pre‑payments.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical ability and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work the Australian shift and calendar.
