Data Lead

About the role

IFS is seeking an experienced Data Lead to shape and scale our enterprise data architecture. You will drive data strategy, governance, and modern analytics using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake and AI technologies, working closely with business stakeholders and AI/ML teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance enterprise‑wide data architecture, including lakehouse, data warehouse and medallion designs.
• Define scalable data models, integration patterns and cloud modernization initiatives using Microsoft Fabric.
• Implement and optimise Fabric components such as Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, real‑time analytics and Power BI.
• Manage data storage on OneLake and enforce governance, classification and lineage with Microsoft Purview.
• Establish master data management, metadata frameworks and enterprise data catalogs.
• Create and maintain data lineage, dictionaries and compliance documentation.
• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models and support dimensional modelling for analytics.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in data architecture, governance and analytics.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure BI technologies (Synapse, Power BI, Azure SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Data Factory, OneLake, Purview).
• Microsoft certifications DP‑203 or DP‑500 are highly beneficial.
• Experience with generative AI, Azure AI and Machine Learning workloads.
