Travel Trainee – Tour Coordination

About the role

Aahaas is looking for a motivated Travel Trainee to join its Tour team in Colombo. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in designing and delivering personalized travel experiences for a growing user base.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in creating customized itineraries and travel schedules.
• Handle bookings for flights, hotels, and local activities using internal tools.
• Communicate with local partners, service providers, and travelers to confirm arrangements.
• Update travel schedules and maintain accurate records in the company’s system.
• Gather information on attractions, events, and hidden gems around Colombo and surrounding destinations.
• Support on‑ground operations, respond to traveler inquiries, and address feedback.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear, professional communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
• Interest in travel, tourism, and local culture; willingness to learn about Colombo’s destinations.
• Problem‑solving mindset and adaptability to handle unexpected changes.
• Good written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Relevant education in tourism, hospitality, business, or related field; prior internship or experience is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as required.
