Technical Sales Manager

About the role

This strategic leadership position combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive growth for a global client in the textile and apparel sector. You will work closely with apparel brands and vendors, delivering technical solutions that improve factory performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable sales growth through technical consulting and strategic account management.
• Partner with leading apparel brands to deliver value‑driven technical solutions.
• Provide expert sewing and thread advisory services, including factory audits, cost analysis, and performance optimisation.
• Diagnose and resolve shop‑floor challenges such as thread breakages, puckering, machine adjustments, and productivity issues.
• Lead product development initiatives tailored to customer requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across corporate and factory operations.
• Develop commercial strategies to increase market share and strengthen long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Conduct technical training programs and support knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Textile, Mechanical, Industrial or related).
• MBA or postgraduate qualification highly preferred.
• 8–10 years experience in readymade garments, apparel or textile manufacturing.
• Proven experience in technical sales, customer advisory, business development or strategic account management.
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, sewing technology and factory operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, commercially driven and able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
