Technical Officer – Data Center & Building Services

About the role

The Technical Officer will be responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure in data centre and building services environments, ensuring reliable operation of power, climate control and security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring to ensure smooth operation of data centre infrastructure.
• Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) and HVAC systems, coordinating preventive and corrective actions.
• Apply hands‑on knowledge of single‑phase and three‑phase electrical systems for troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic repairs.
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and conduct preventive maintenance of UPS systems to guarantee uninterrupted power.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ELV and security systems including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm/fire protection equipment.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in building services or data‑center environments.
• Degree/Diploma in Building Services or an NVQ Level 3 or 4 qualification.
• Strong practical, hands‑on technical abilities.
• Proven capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
