Technical Lead

About the role

Cut+Dry is seeking a Technical Lead to own the architecture and roadmap for its Snowflake data platform, ingestion pipelines, and reporting infrastructure. You will set technical standards, drive multi‑quarter initiatives, and ensure operational health of critical dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, Airbyte and related tools, ingesting data from external partners and internal sources.
• Own Snowflake performance and cost optimization, including warehouse sizing, clustering, caching, and query rewrites.
• Establish SLAs, monitoring, and incident response for pipelines and dashboards, leading root‑cause investigations for data‑quality issues.
• Lead design reviews, make build‑vs‑buy decisions on tooling, and drive architecture initiatives such as warehouse migrations and schema redesigns.
• Partner with backend engineering on application‑to‑warehouse integration and event/data contract design.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or tech‑lead capacity.
• Deep production‑level expertise with data platforms, including schema design, performance tuning, RBAC, and cost optimization.
• Expert‑level Python and SQL for production pipelines and tooling.
• Proven track record designing and operating ELT/ETL systems (Airbyte, Fivetran, dbt, custom Python).
• Solid experience building end‑to‑end reporting and analytics products.
• Strong AWS background (S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM) and familiarity with IaC and CI/CD for data workloads.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross‑team technical initiatives.
