Technical Lead – Backend Engineering

About the role

Mitra is looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to lead backend design and delivery for a core platform handling complex claims and financial workflows. In this role, you will work closely with technical leadership, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate complex business rules into robust, scalable software within an evolving multi‑tenant SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with technical leadership, product owners and business stakeholders to translate business rules into reliable software within an evolving multi‑tenant SaaS platform.

Required profile

• Proven ownership of complex backend work from discovery and design through coding and delivery.
• Excellent English communication; confidently discuss requirements and technical decisions with product owners, business stakeholders and senior technical leaders.
• Ability to dissect unfamiliar domains, uncover exceptions, challenge assumptions constructively and turn ambiguity into actionable decisions.
• Ability to connect business scenarios and worked examples to implementation and meaningful acceptance tests.
• Technical leadership: independently own defined workstreams, mentor engineers, review designs, plan delivery and raise risks early.
• Comfortable joining an established team and leading through hands‑on design, coding, testing and debugging.
