Senior Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer

About the role

We’re looking for a highly experienced Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to create high-quality video content and advertising creatives for Australian businesses. This is not just a basic editing role; we need someone who can turn raw footage, images, scripts and ideas into engaging, premium‑looking videos.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short‑form video ads for platforms such as Meta, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and others.
• Turn raw talking‑head footage into polished, engaging videos and add relevant B‑roll to improve storytelling and viewer retention.
• Create professional motion graphics, text animations and visual effects.
• Produce fully animated video advertisements using images, product screenshots, logos, stock footage, video clips, icons and other graphic elements.
• Animate static images and designs to craft compelling video ads and add visual hooks for the first few seconds of each advertisement.
• Include captions, callouts, transitions, sound effects and music where appropriate.
• Generate multiple creative variations from the same footage or concept and resize/adapt videos for different platforms and placements.
• Follow brand guidelines while proposing creative ideas, work from scripts, storyboards or briefs, and suggest visual improvements when needed.

Required profile

• Strong professional video‑editing experience, including pacing, B‑roll selection, storytelling, captions, sound design and short‑form content creation.
• Ability to understand objectives, ask the right questions, plan visual direction and deliver polished final videos independently.
• Creative judgement to improve concepts and make strong visual decisions.
• Extensive motion‑graphics and animation experience, producing professional animated ads rather than using basic presets.
• Understanding of advertising creative: hooks, attention retention, direct‑response, visual storytelling, social‑media ad formats and making simple footage engaging.
