Senior Technical Lead – Python

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead with deep Python expertise to join a partner team and work on our core platform built on Django. The role involves maintaining a mature codebase, delivering new features and shaping technical direction while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable APIs and services using Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
• Work with core infrastructure components such as PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Write high‑quality, well‑tested code and promote test‑driven development.
• Champion AI‑assisted coding tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate vision into technical solutions.
• Allocate roughly 50 % of time to maintenance and non‑user‑facing improvements.
• Participate in architectural discussions and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 7+ years of back‑end software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and its ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Solid background with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Self‑starter attitude with a “startup mindset” and ability to work remotely.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest and competency in AI‑assisted development tools.
