Senior Security Engineer

About the role

The client, a data and technology partner for the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Security Operations Center. You will protect cloud and on‑premises environments, manage endpoint and email security, and support threat detection, incident response and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts using Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
• Manage endpoint security with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and email security with Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
• Develop automation playbooks and scripts (PowerShell, Python, Terraform) to streamline incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, assist in remediation and apply IAM, RBAC and Zero Trust principles.
• Support compliance initiatives such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and work with DevOps teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security operations, covering cloud and endpoint security.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender suite and Intune.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001 and vulnerability management tools.
• Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell, Python or Terraform.
