Senior SAP Finance Support Engineer – L3 (FI/CO)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior SAP Finance Support Engineer (L3) to own the stability and continuity of SAP Finance processes across the group. You will act as the final escalation point for complex incidents, work closely with finance stakeholders and technical teams, and drive continuous improvement of our SAP ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead L3 incident management for SAP FI/CO, ensuring accurate financial postings and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve issues affecting period‑end close, GR/IR clearing, FX revaluation, asset accounting, audits, payments, treasury, and statutory reporting.
• Maintain and optimise integrations with banking systems, AP automation platforms (e.g., Basware, VIM), e‑invoicing and statutory reporting solutions.
• Support electronic bank statements (CAMT/MT), payment and bank communication management, VAT/WHT processes, and parallel ledgers.
• Participate in SAP upgrades, patches, testing and finance‑related configuration changes.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles, SOPs and troubleshooting guides; mentor L1/L2 engineers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO) support at an L3 level.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of incident resolution and process optimisation.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, external partners and technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
