Senior QA Engineer (Automation)

About the role

Decryptogen is seeking a Senior QA Engineer specialized in automation to design, develop, and maintain robust test frameworks for modern web applications. The role focuses on leveraging Playwright with TypeScript while also supporting Selenium‑based suites and API testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Build scalable, reusable frameworks employing Page Object Model and modular approaches.
• Execute end‑to‑end, regression, functional and integration tests.
• Maintain Selenium WebDriver automation scripts in Java when required.
• Develop API automation tests with Playwright and/or Rest Assured.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Analyze requirements, write clear test scripts, and report results.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers for resolution.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote shift‑left testing practices.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration and version control (GitLab/GitHub).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
