Senior Product Portfolio Analyst

About the role

IFS is looking for a Senior Product Portfolio Analyst, an individual-contributor role reporting to the Product & Technology Strategy & Planning organisation and working closely with Product Management leadership. The role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, product management and financial/commercial planning, with AI-agentic ways of working central to it. You will use AI tools by default and prototype and implement reusable agents, data products and automated workflows. Candidates can be based in the UK, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden or Sri Lanka.

Key responsibilities

• Turn portfolio data, initiative context and business signals into self-serve insights and decision tools that help product managers prioritise, invest and sequence.
• Build predictive models and scenario analyses to forecast portfolio outcomes and compare real options.
• Develop evidence-based capital allocation recommendations and define how ROI and benefits realisation are tracked.
• Use AI-powered knowledge management to make strategy and roadmaps easier to consume and pressure-test them.
• Dig into root causes of recurring friction across teams and help design sustainable solutions.
• Clarify ambiguous requirements and turn recurring organisational friction into repeatable processes and operating models.
• Design, prototype and deploy AI agents, workflows and decision-support tools that scale across product management.

Required profile

• Background in product operations, portfolio management, product management or a closely related role, with grounding in product planning, roadmapping, prioritisation or portfolio governance.
• Comfort modelling portfolio scenarios and trade-offs, and framing recommendations in terms of ROI and benefits realisation.
• Ability to turn complex prioritisation questions into clear data and options for product managers and leaders.
• Preference for enabling teams through better tools and processes rather than centralising decisions.
• Comfort clarifying ambiguous requirements and building stakeholder alignment.

Required skills

• Practical confidence using modern AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.
• Desirable: hands-on experience building or configuring AI agents, workflows or self-service tools, and familiarity with portfolio management frameworks.
• Desirable: experience in enterprise software or B2B SaaS organisations, and exposure to data governance, anonymisation or data-sharing agreements.
