Senior Manager Projects

About the role

Responsible for delivering mining projects in line with international responsible mining principles. Manages the full project life‑cycle to meet budget, schedule, scope and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and approve monthly and annual budgets and operational expenditures.
• Define project scope, initiate tender processes and negotiate contracts.
• Develop and monitor risk‑management and quality‑management plans.
• Control project schedules, milestones and stage‑gate deliverables.
• Oversee procurement planning and supplier selection within the supply‑chain framework.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, change management and stakeholder agreements.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF 6 Diploma or NQF 7 Bachelor’s in Engineering, Project Management or related technical field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a management or specialist role.
• Valid driver’s licence (if applicable) and clear security screening record.
• Medically fit for the specific business area.
• Advantageous: NQF 8 postgraduate qualification, ECSA accreditation or PMP certification.
