Senior Inbound Tour Executive

About the role

The Senior Inbound Tour Executive will lead the end‑to‑end management of inbound tour operations, from the first client enquiry through to post‑tour follow‑up. Based at One Galle Face Tower, the role ensures high‑quality service delivery for international visitors exploring Sri Lanka.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound enquiries from international clients, travel agents and tour operators.
• Design and cost tailor‑made itineraries that match client requirements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and detailed travel programmes.
• Coordinate hotels, transport, excursions, guides, restaurants and other travel arrangements.
• Liaise with overseas agents, suppliers, hotels, guides and internal departments.
• Monitor tour execution, manage amendments, cancellations and special requests.
• Maintain accurate booking records, costing, supplier details and client information.
• Organise airport transfers, meet‑and‑greet services and overall tour logistics.
• Resolve guest complaints and operational issues promptly.
• Follow up with clients and partners to obtain feedback and strengthen relationships.
• Track tour profitability and ensure bookings stay within approved budgets.
• Support junior executives and contribute to product and process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in inbound tourism, tour operations or destination management.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan destinations, hotels, excursions and tourism products.
• Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple bookings and flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
