Senior Full Stack AI Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to join their engineering team and build, scale, and maintain critical product features across backend services, frontend applications, AI integrations, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who can take ownership of end‑to‑end product development, from translating requirements into production‑ready solutions to integrating Generative AI capabilities and ensuring reliable CI/CD and cloud deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, type‑safe backend services and APIs using Node.js, NestJS/Fastify, and TypeScript.
• Build modern, responsive web applications with React, Next.js, TypeScript, TanStack Query, and TailwindCSS.
• Develop and integrate LLM and Generative AI capabilities, including prompting workflows, semantic search, RAG, and agentic flows.
• Create automated tests (unit, integration, E2E) using Playwright, Vitest, and Jest to ensure reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, supporting safe deployments on AWS ECS Fargate, ECR, and CloudFront.
• Manage containerized applications with Docker and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage, caching, schema design, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Implement secure coding practices, protect sensitive data, and enforce regional data residency requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern web platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS/Fastify, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLM/Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into production applications.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience deploying containerized applications on AWS and using Terraform for IaC.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and testing with Playwright, Vitest, or Jest.
• Good understanding of event‑driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and messaging with AWS SQS.
• Experience in scheduling/booking, POS, payments, or similar transactional domains is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving, collaboration, and communication skills in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
