Secondary Subject Teacher (Business Studies, Accounting, Economics)

About the role

Thomas Gall School is seeking a passionate and qualified secondary subject teacher to deliver Business Studies, Accounting and Economics to students in its secondary school. The role involves creating engaging lessons, assessing student progress and contributing to a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Business Studies, Accounting and Economics.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Manage classroom behavior and foster an inclusive, motivating atmosphere.
• Support students’ academic development and address individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies, Accounting and Economics.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for teaching and student development.
• Familiarity with the Edexcel curriculum is an advantage.
• Residency in Galle or surrounding areas is preferred.
