Sales & Marketing Executive – Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Executive will drive new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships for Surge Shipping & Logistics, a leading freight forwarding company with over 30 years of experience. Based in Nugegoda, this full‑time, on‑site position focuses on promoting the company’s logistics services and supporting customers throughout the shipping process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business prospects through market research and outreach.
• Maintain and grow relationships with current clients, providing quotations and proposals.
• Plan and execute sales and marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure service commitments are met.
• Gather customer feedback and refine marketing strategies accordingly.

Required profile

• Strong ability to design and implement effective sales and marketing plans.
• Experience conducting market research to spot trends and competitive positioning.
• Proven sales and communication skills for negotiation and deal closure.
• Prior exposure to logistics, freight forwarding, or supply‑chain management is advantageous.
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field preferred.

Required skills

• Familiarity with basic CRM tools.
