Retail Store Manager

About the role

Abans PLC, a leading consumer durables distributor in Sri Lanka, is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead one of its flagship showrooms. The role involves driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a premium customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profit targets.
• Oversee daily showroom operations, including visual merchandising, stock availability and expense control.
• Lead, motivate, coach and develop the showroom team to meet performance KPIs such as conversion, ATV, UPT and gross margin.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, stock ageing, shrinkage and manage stock transfers.
• Plan and execute promotions, product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Analyse sales and operational reports and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, Marketing, Buying, Warehouse, VM and other support functions.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of retail experience with proven showroom/store management and team‑leadership.
• Strong knowledge of retail sales, store operations, inventory management and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales and profit targets and drive business growth.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel.
• Experience with ERP or retail management systems.
