Restaurant and Bar Manager

About the role

The Restaurant and Bar Manager is a full‑time, on‑site position in Colombo, responsible for overseeing daily operations of both the restaurant and bar. You will ensure guests receive consistently high levels of service while driving sales and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule staff, coordinate service flow, and train team members.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, control inventory, and liaise with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Manage cash handling, point‑of‑sale activities, and produce accurate revenue and cost reports.
• Implement promotions, track sales targets, and respond to guest feedback.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience in food & beverage operations, including bar service.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop staff.
• Sales and basic business acumen with experience meeting revenue targets.
• Organizational and problem‑solving abilities, especially during peak periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
