QA Engineer

About the role

Akvasoft builds production software for SaaS startups and scaleups. You will work in small teams with direct contact with founders and real ownership of quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality for the products you are on, from first working version to production.
• Write and maintain automated tests: end‑to‑end, API, and regression.
• Perform manual testing where automation does not reach and understand the difference.
• Learn the customer's industry to spot real‑world breakages beyond test case failures.
• Collaborate directly with founders and engineers to catch problems before customers do.
• Use AI tools to write and review tests faster and verify their output.

Required profile

• Experience testing web applications you have shipped.
• Automation experience with Playwright, Cypress or similar tools.
• API testing and basic scripting in JavaScript or Python.
• Comfortable reading code, filing clear bugs, and pushing back when something is not ready.
• Finish what you start and do not wait for a full specification.
• Not suitable if you prefer to run someone else’s test plan.
• Ability to think like the customer across diverse industries.
