About the role
The Purchasing Assistant will support the procurement function within a construction environment, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services. Working closely with project teams and suppliers, you will help maintain cost‑effectiveness and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for construction projects.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor order status, follow up on deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain procurement records and update supplier databases.
- Support negotiation activities under guidance of senior staff.
Required profile
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, supplier coordination and decision‑making abilities.
