Production Assistant – Printing Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Production Assistant to support our printing operations. You will work closely with the printer and production team to ensure high‑quality output, efficient material use, and safe, productive machine operation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain conformance to specified quality standards.
• Achieve daily production targets and maximise machine productivity.
• Load the sheet feeder and ensure continuous feeding.
• Remove printed work, stack on pallets and return to the vault as required.
• Assist the printer during make‑ready and throughout production runs.
• Record security paper receipts and pallet numbers accurately.
• Report any errors or waste immediately to the Print Supervisor/Manager.
• Level unused ink tins, cover with oiled paper and secure lids.
• Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and follow safe working practices.
• Perform daily machine lubrication according to manufacturer specifications.
• Pass relevant shift information to the next crew.
• Strictly adhere to batch‑control security regulations.
• Collect work from the vault at shift start and return it after printing.
• Undertake additional duties assigned by the printer, supervisor or manager.
• Operate other departmental machines when required.

Required profile

• Good general education (GCE A/L).
• 2‑3 years experience in the printing field.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Effective listening and ability to work collaboratively.
• Positive attitude with a high concern for quality.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
