Procurement Manager – Construction

About the role

The company, a leading real‑estate and property developer in Sri Lanka, is expanding its construction portfolio and needs a seasoned Procurement Manager to drive sourcing, supplier management and cost‑control for its projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and service providers to obtain competitive quotations.
• Manage procurement schedules, ensuring timely delivery of materials to construction sites.
• Monitor inventory levels, prevent material shortages and coordinate with site teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and opportunities.
• Track supplier performance, quality and delivery compliance.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses and budget forecasts.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Site Engineers and Finance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, subcontracting and procurement processes.
• Experience with large‑scale construction projects is an advantage.
