Operations Manager – Hardware Distribution

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our hardware distribution activities in Rathmalana. The role oversees warehouse, transport, delivery and distribution functions, ensuring efficient flow of products from receipt to customer.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of warehouse, transport, delivery and distribution activities.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor delivery schedules, routes, vehicles and manpower to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage and supervise drivers, delivery officers, warehouse staff and other operational teams.
• Ensure efficient receiving, storing, handling, picking, dispatching and delivery of hardware products.
• Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with the Stores/Warehouse team for smooth stock availability.
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Stores and Transport teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Track operational performance, KPIs and service levels, taking corrective action when required.
• Control transportation, delivery, warehouse and other operational costs while maintaining service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations, logistics or distribution.
• Proven experience managing warehouse, transport, delivery and distribution functions.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to plan and monitor delivery schedules, routes, vehicles and manpower.
• Experience supervising drivers, delivery officers and warehouse staff.
• Effective coordination with Sales, Finance, HR, Stores and Transport departments.
• Capability to monitor operational costs, improve efficiency and achieve targets.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and organisational skills.
