Manager - Investigations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and analytical Internal Investigations & Fraud Audit Professional to identify control failures, uncover fraud risks, and provide actionable recommendations that strengthen the bank's control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and report on internal investigations covering fraud, misconduct, process lapses, control failures and financial misstatement.
• Interview relevant employees and stakeholders in a professional, fair and objective manner while maintaining confidentiality and independence.
• Prepare clear, concise, evidence‑based investigation reports for the Chief Internal Auditor and the Board Audit Review Committee.
• Analyze fraud trends and recurring control failures across branches, operations, credit, payments and support functions using data analytics, and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise, guide and review the work of investigation team members, maintain a comprehensive investigation database, and follow up on remediation actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years at an Assistant Manager/Manager level with hands‑on auditing and investigations.
• A degree or banking qualification (CBF, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent academic background.
• Proven experience conducting fraud investigations within the banking industry.
• Ability to produce factual, methodical reports for senior audit committees and support disciplinary or regulatory processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with data analytics tools for fraud trend analysis.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit functions and fraud investigation techniques.
