Logistics Executive

About the role

Perfetti Van Melle Lanka, a leading global confectionery manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic Logistics Executive to join its logistics team at the Seeduwa facility. The role focuses on coordinating vehicle scheduling, dispatch, and delivery activities to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily vehicle scheduling and dispatch in line with sales orders.
• Manage transport job assignments, delivery documentation, invoicing and liaise with Finance.
• Monitor delivery performance, maintain accurate records and prepare daily/monthly logistics and KPI reports.
• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, distributors and internal teams to resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain records of market returns and oversee collection of returned goods.
• Prepare transporter payment summaries, freight provisions and support logistics contract administration.
• Support sustainability reporting by tracking delivery tonnage, kilometres travelled and carbon footprint data.

Required profile

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, transport coordination or supply chain operations.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP with strong data analysis and reporting abilities.
• Understanding of inventory and warehouse management, transport and route planning, and basic financial/compliance requirements.
