Lead/Senior Lead Software Engineer - Agentic AI Engineering

About the role

The IFS Sustainability Application team is looking for a Lead/Senior Lead Software Engineer in Agentic AI Engineering to help build industry-leading sustainability solutions for asset-intensive organizations. Products connect operational data with sustainability reporting, governance and decision support, helping customers measure environmental impact, govern sustainability performance, streamline regulatory disclosures and optimize progress toward their goals. The engineer takes end-to-end ownership of product capabilities, from design and development through testing, deployment and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of product capabilities, from design and development through testing, deployment and operational reliability.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Domain Experts and Engineers to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
• Leverage modern engineering practices and intelligent automation to solve real customer problems.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, with an innovative mindset.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Go.
• Experience with Kafka / Redpanda, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Building and operating microservices-based systems on Kubernetes.
• Agentic AI development with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, and familiarity with orchestrating LLMs and AI agents.
• Spec-Driven Development (SDD); exposure to BMAD is considered beneficial.
• React frontend experience is beneficial.
