Lead Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Java to drive the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of scalable software systems. In this role you will provide hands‑on technical leadership, make architectural decisions, and ensure secure, reliable, high‑performing solutions for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable applications and distributed systems.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement critical features using Java and other JVM‑based technologies.
• Define and enforce coding standards, design principles, and engineering best practices.
• Design resilient, secure, high‑performance microservices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure high code quality.
• Establish testing strategies including unit, integration, functional, and automated testing.
• Guide teams in CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated deployments, and quality gates.
• Mentor and coach engineers of varying experience levels.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Identify technical risks and delivery challenges, proposing mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on software development experience delivering scalable enterprise applications.
• Proven experience leading design and delivery of complex software projects, distributed systems, or large‑scale applications.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java and solid experience with JVM‑based development.
