Lead DevOps Engineer – Azure Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure cloud platforms to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and automated environments. This senior role will drive platform reliability, embed security, and enable developer self‑service at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure platforms using Terraform, Crossplane, AKS, GitOps, and shared pipelines.
• Develop reusable code/templates in C# and Python for automation.
• Embed security scanning, governance, and secrets management into CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply SRE principles (SLOs/SLIs, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, postmortems).
• Optimize cloud costs through tagging, anomaly detection, and rightsizing.
• Collaborate with teams, resolve incidents, and deliver high‑quality operational support.

Required profile

• 2+ years of enterprise Azure experience (AKS, Container Apps, VNets, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Monitor, SQL, Cosmos DB).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Pod Security Standards.
• Hands‑on experience with ArgoCD, GitOps, and Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
• Advanced use of Terraform, Crossplane, and declarative desired‑state configuration.
• Proficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash, kubectl, helm, git, and Docker.
• Experience with Snyk, SonarQube, vulnerability scanning, and workload identity.
• Database expertise in Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB with secure connectivity.
• Bonus: experience with Backstage developer portals and .NET/Python development.
