Lead Agentic Security Engineer

About the role

IFS is seeking a Lead Agentic Security Engineer to provide technical leadership for security engineering across the organization. You will set direction, own critical security capabilities, drive cross‑team initiatives, and mentor engineers while balancing risk, delivery, and engineering realities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical direction for security engineering across the organization.
• Own critical security domains such as Application Security, Cloud Security, CI/CD security, and vulnerability management.
• Set standards, patterns, and guardrails that scale across teams and make risk‑based security decisions.
• Lead cross‑team security initiatives and act as senior security point of contact for engineering leadership.
• Drive security automation strategy, including AI‑assisted tooling for SAST, SCA, DAST, IaC, and container security.
• Lead response and root‑cause analysis for significant security incidents and coordinate external engagements.
• Mentor engineers and raise overall security capability, especially in responsible use of AI‑assisted tools.

Required profile

• Typically 5+ years in security engineering, software engineering, or platform engineering.
• Proven track record owning security capabilities or programs at scale.
• Deep expertise across multiple domains such as AppSec, CloudSec, CI/CD security, and architecture.
• Strong hands‑on engineering and automation background with ability to influence without formal authority.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with security automation tools (SAST, SCA, DAST, IaC, container security).
• Proficiency with CI/CD platforms (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting in Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Experience using AI‑assisted development and security tools and ability to validate their output.
