Java Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance server‑side applications. You will work with Core Java, Spring Boot and RESTful/streaming APIs to deliver reliable services that power our web UI.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement and optimise RESTful and streaming APIs.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to ensure seamless client‑server interactions.
• Participate in peer code and design reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Work with Business Analysts and Project Managers to translate requirements into functional features.
• Handle code deployments, releases and operational tasks on a rotational basis, focusing on automation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in modern Java and unit/integration testing frameworks such as JUnit.
• Experience with version control (Bitbucket/Git) and agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and writing shell scripts.
• Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and collaborate in a dynamic team.
