IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team in Colombo. You will be the primary point of contact for global IT support, ensuring employees have secure, reliable access to tools and devices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end day‑to‑day IT support for global offices, handling tickets and escalating complex issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot macOS and Windows endpoints, including provisioning, MDM enrollment, patching and compliance checks.
• Execute onboarding, offboarding and access change requests following documented procedures.
• Administer core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Okta, Atlassian, 1Password) at the operator level.
• Support local and cloud infrastructure, network equipment, meeting‑room AV and assigned cloud resources.
• Maintain accurate hardware/software asset inventories and track licences.
• Assist with procurement, vendor coordination and warranty/RMA cases.
• Act as first responder for suspected security incidents, triage alerts and follow the incident response runbook.
• Implement security controls on endpoints and SaaS tools (disk encryption, MFA enforcement, endpoint agents).
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge‑base articles and IT projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2‑5 years of experience in IT support, operations or systems administration.
• Hands‑on experience supporting macOS and Windows in a business environment.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts such as SSO, MFA, role‑based access and least‑privilege.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills (DNS, connectivity, etc.).
