IT Infrastructure Engineer (Sri Lanka)

About the role

Join GAC Group IT’s expanding team to design, secure and operate the infrastructure that connects more than 6,000 users worldwide. The role focuses on maintaining on‑premises data‑centers and Microsoft Azure environments while driving reliability, availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise network components such as routers, switches, wireless, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
• Administer Azure networking including VNets, subnets, Azure Firewall, NSGs, UDRs, VPN Gateway and VNet peering.
• Operate VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualisation platforms.
• Configure and support Zscaler ZIA/ZPA solutions and Zero‑Trust initiatives.
• Deploy and maintain on‑premises Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement security controls, conduct vulnerability remediation and oversee backup/disaster‑recovery solutions such as Veeam and Azure Site Recovery.
• Perform backup testing, recovery drills, fail‑over/fail‑back operations and ensure recovery‑time objectives are met.
• Document infrastructure architecture, network diagrams, standards and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP) and Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑700) preferred.
• Virtualisation certifications for VMware or Hyper‑V are a plus.
