Internal Audit Trainee

About the role

Lakderana Investments Ltd is seeking motivated individuals to join its Internal Audit team as trainees. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in planning, executing, and reporting internal audits across the organization’s 30 branches.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of internal audits from planning through reporting, following the annual audit plan.
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate process documentation, reports, and financial data.
• Support the evaluation of internal control systems, conduct root‑cause analysis for deviations, and propose improvement recommendations.
• Document audit procedures and prepare clear audit findings.
• Maintain effective communication and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
• Travel to branch locations nationwide as required.

Required profile

• Passes at GCE A/L and at least five credit passes at GCE O/L, including Mathematics and English.
• Currently pursuing AAT or a degree/undergraduate program in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience is an advantage for junior executive grade.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to detect internal‑control deficiencies, assess risk implications, and suggest mitigation plans.
