Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & AWS Specialist

About the role

The client is a well‑established IT organization seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support both on‑premises and cloud environments. The role covers servers, networking, backups, security and device management, working US hours on a roster basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers (Hyper‑V, AWS EC2) and ensure high availability, performance monitoring and patching.
• Manage backup and recovery with Veeam for virtual and physical workloads and maintain secure FTP/SFTP access.
• Provision and manage AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, S3 and EBS, and monitor infrastructure health with PRTG and AWS CloudWatch.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, conditional access, and endpoint security via Intune and Microsoft Defender.
• Support VPN configurations, SonicWall firewalls, site‑to‑site VPNs, NAT, and manage Unifi switches and access points.
• Maintain SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services, handling licensing and policy management.
• Perform OS and application patching, incident response, root‑cause analysis and documentation of changes.
• Ensure backup integrity, disaster‑recovery readiness and compliance with data‑retention and encryption standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT support, system administration or infrastructure/cloud operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and customer‑focused communication skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
