HR Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on HR Assistant Manager to support the HR Manager in delivering the full HR function for our growing, largely young workforce in Colombo. The role will work closely with Brand Leads to maintain high discipline and performance standards while fostering a supportive and motivating environment for employees.

Key responsibilities

• Support the HR Manager in managing the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Enforce company standards and act as a consistent point of authority for staff on day‑to‑day matters.
• Handle disciplinary actions, grievances and sensitive employee issues in line with Sri Lankan employment legislation.
• Collaborate with Brand Leads to ensure performance standards are met and hold managers accountable.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an HR Assistant Manager, HR Executive or similar role, preferably with a young or high‑volume workforce.
• Strong‑willed, fair and even‑handed approach to managing a young workforce.
• Proven ability to motivate staff and drive consistent high performance.
• Solid knowledge of HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Working knowledge of Sri Lankan employment legislation and HR compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational and documentation skills.
