Housekeeping Executive

About the role

The Housekeeping Executive will lead the housekeeping team in delivering high‑standard cleanliness and hygiene across the hotel premises. This position ensures that all housekeeping operations run smoothly, meeting both guest expectations and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily housekeeping activities and staff rosters.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Oversee audit processes such as GSV, SQP, and SMETA to maintain quality certifications.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Housekeeping, or a related field (G.C.E. O/L or A/L is an advantage).
• 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Male candidates aged 35‑40, residing in Panadura or Moratuwa, are preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Professional grooming and appearance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cleaning and housekeeping procedures.
• Team leadership and staff supervision capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Basic computer proficiency, especially MS Office.
• Experience with audit processes (GSV, SQP, SMETA) is a plus.
