Head of Engineering (APJ)

About the role

Loop1 is seeking a senior engineering leader to head its APJ (Asia‑Pacific‑Japan) engineering practice from Colombo. You will keep service quality at the centre of technical delivery, work closely with executive leadership, the global PMO, and engineers at all levels, and resolve regional and global challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional engineering team remotely, setting clear expectations for technical practice, capability, quality, and client service.
• Align engineering execution with Loop1’s business objectives and managed‑services outcomes.
• Review and improve current engineering standards, capabilities, training, certifications, and knowledge‑management processes.
• Establish regular review rhythms for engineering standards, ServiceNow data quality, training outcomes, service levels, and incident improvement.
• Identify gaps affecting technical readiness, service quality, or client commitments and define corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in engineering or technology services.
• Strong ability to influence and collaborate with global PMO and executive teams.
• Track record of building high‑performing, remote engineering teams.
• Experience in aligning technical delivery with business goals and service‑level commitments.
